RAD-NxT - Radiant flame roof burner ultra-low NOx

RAD-NxT are gas burners for direct heating. They allow heat transfer in a radiant way without having repercussions due to the effect of the flame. Depending on the size and conditions of use, they can be fueled with natural gas, LPG or other gases with different calorific values (upon request). The RAD-NxT guarantee a substantial reduction in polluting emissions (CO & NOx) and lower consumption compared to traditional burners, thanks to the optimized design for the use of preheated air up to 500°C

Description

The RAD‑NxT series by ESA‑Pyronics comprises low‑NOx radiant flame roof gas burners designed for direct heating applications across industrial furnaces. Built according to ISO13577 (prevously UNI EN 746 ) safety standards and produced under UNI EN ISO 9001-certified processes, the burners are independent units not covered by the Machine Directive. Their design focuses on high efficiency, low emissions, and the ability to work with preheated air up to 500 °C.

The radiant flame roof burners operate with various gaseous fuels (natural gas, LPG, propane, and on request, others) and achieve capacities from 250 to 750 kW, depending on model. Flame speeds reach 50–60 m/s, and the system supports air/gas pressure inputs of 50 mbar. They are designed to deliver a strong radiant component and high turbulence to maximize heat transfer while minimizing NOx and CO emissions. Typical applications include reheat, annealing, forging, strip heating, drying, aluminum melting, glass forming, and calcination furnaces.

Materials include cast iron G25 for mixer body and collector, refractory cement (Tmax 1650 °C), and stainless steels AISI 304/310 for flame tubes and heads. Ignition can occur via electrode or pilot flame, with UV-based flame detection recommended. Detailed capacity tables describe air and gas flows, burner pressures, and minimum/maximum operating conditions, while NOx emission charts illustrate performance under different chamber and air temperatures.
