ENM-NxT - LOW NOx lateral burners
The ENM-NxT series identifies a family of long flame side burners which are used on various types of furnaces in the steel and non-steel industry. Depending on the size and conditions of use, ENMNxT burners guarantee a substantial reduction in polluting emissions (CO & NOx) and lower consumption compared to traditional burners thanks to the design optimized for the use of preheated air up to 600°C.
Description
The ENM‑NxT series is a family of low‑NOx lateral long‑flame burners designed for industrial furnaces requiring high efficiency, low emissions and flexible combustion performance. These burners are suitable for a wide range of applications, including walking beam and walking earth furnaces, frit melting furnaces, pusher furnaces, aluminium smelting furnaces, thermal‑treatment furnaces, forging and tile kilns.
The burners operate with capacities from 400 to 4400 kW, featuring pre‑heated combustion air up to 550°C, and maximum furnace temperatures up to 1600°C. They support a large turndown ratio (approx. 6:1) and offer dual combustion modes: standard FLAME operation with UV detection and FLAMELESS combustion for ultra‑low NOx performance. The optimized design ensures extremely low NOx and CO emissions, even when operating with pre‑heated air and at low chamber temperatures.
ENM‑NxT burners are ignited using a PBC‑FR/X series pilot burner, with flame detection performed by a UV‑2 scanner (both optional). Their internal geometry promotes strong internal recirculation, stabilizing combustion and preventing flame flashback due to nozzle‑mix technology. The construction uses robust materials such as carbon steel, AISI304/AISI310S stainless steel for the gas tube, refractory cement air diffusers rated up to 1750°C, and ceramic fiber insulation.
Performance tables show flame lengths ranging from 1700 mm to 7500 mm depending on the model, with both maximum and minimum capacity charts included for precise system sizing. Burners operate with inlet air and gas pressures typically at 50 mbar under standard conditions.
The product meets ISO 13577 (previously UNI EN 746‑2:2010) safety requirements and ESA‑Pyronics’ NEXT GENERATION / NOx TECHNOLOGY standards. Installation requires correct gasket positioning, AISI flexible joints, and precise alignment of air and gas lines. The manual includes extensive instructions on start‑up, tuning, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure long‑term safety and efficiency.
