BR 70 - modular infra-red burner
The BR‑70 Series infrared burners deliver high-efficiency radiant heating for industrial processes such as paper drying, metal strip treatment, and material processing. Featuring stainless-steel and Inconel components, modular design, and up to 5 kW radiant capacity per panel, they ensure uniform infrared emission, low-pressure operation, multi-gas compatibility, and reliable flashback-free performance with advanced ignition and detection options.
Description
The BR‑70 Series infrared burners are advanced industrial heating devices engineered to deliver high radiant efficiency, reliability, and optimal energy transfer in demanding production environments. Designed with a modular architecture, they can be combined into continuous radiant lines, making them ideal for applications such as paper drying, strip processing of steel and copper, and the treatment of materials like glass, rubber, and resins.
Each burner features a robust AISI 304 stainless-steel mixer body, an Inconel radiant surface, and a brass mixer, ensuring durability under high thermal stress. Operating with low gas and air pressures—only 40 mbar—the BR‑70 burners achieve a radiant capacity of up to 5 kW per panel. They are compatible with multiple gas types including natural gas (CH₄), propane, and LPG. Thanks to their high excess-air capability and efficient combustion design, they generate infrared radiation predominantly in the advantageous 2–6 micron wavelength range. This spectrum is particularly suitable for industrial heat-processing operations, as numerous materials absorb infrared energy more effectively than convection or conduction heat.
A key benefit of the BR‑70 design lies in its internal geometry, which induces a vortex to ensure uniform radiant emission while preventing flashback—an issue common in conventional gas burners. Ignition is performed through a PBST/X blast pilot and can be paired with advanced flame detection systems such as UV scanners, optical pyrometers, or electrode detection. The burners can be installed in any orientation, and continuous sections may be supplied with customized inlets and mounting plates.
Compact, lightweight, and engineered for long-term stability, BR‑70 infrared burners offer high efficiency, consistent emission, and excellent adaptability to modern industrial heating systems.
