Description

The ENR series gas burners are premix industrial burners designed for reliable operation across a wide temperature range, from 100°C to 1150°C. Air and gas are mixed upstream through FLOMIXER or FMT mixers, which can feed single burners or groups of burners. Thanks to a ring of calibrated holes surrounding the central nozzle, ENR burners ensure excellent flame retention and stability, delivering consistent performance even under demanding process conditions.

The series covers a broad capacity range, from 20 to 2400 kW, and can operate with various gaseous fuels such as methane, LPG, propane, and low‑calorific gases. Combustion remains stable with excess‑air mixtures, excess‑gas mixtures, or stoichiometric conditions, supported by a 9:1 turndown ratio and an efficient premixing system. The standard refractory block withstands temperatures up to 1650°C, while the inlet mixture pressure ranges from 0.6 to 45 mbar.

Typical applications include:
• copper‑transport channels,
• atmosphere generators,
• billet‑heating furnaces,
• furnaces requiring reducing atmospheres.

Burner ignition is achieved via a high‑voltage electrode, while flame detection relies on an optional UV2 photocell. A dedicated sampling port allows mixture extraction and analysis, enabling precise monitoring of combustion ratios — a key advantage in processes requiring specific atmospheres or tightly controlled oxygen levels.

Constructively, the burner features a G25 cast‑iron mounting plate, a nozzle in AISI 304/310S stainless steel, and surface treatments such as phosphating and high‑temperature coating. Installation is usually wall‑mounted, with the refractory block surrounded by ceramic‑fiber insulation to accommodate thermal expansion. Flexible joints are recommended on mixture lines to compensate for structural movements.

The manual provides detailed procedures for ignition, adjustment, and maintenance, including periodic cleaning of optical components, electrode replacement, inspection of the refractory block, and renewal of mixture‑side gaskets. Certified flame‑monitoring systems are mandatory for all installations operating below 750°C, as required by ISO13577 (UNI EN 746‑2).
