Description
The RT‑NxT (E3900N) series from ESA‑Pyronics consists of low NOx burners designed for indirect radiant tube combustion systems used in industrial heating processes. These systems operate by heating stainless steel radiant tubes, allowing heat transfer mainly through radiation, which ensures uniform thermal distribution and high efficiency. The burners are suitable for a wide range of furnace configurations and single -ended, U, W, tube shapes.
RT‑NxT Low Nox radiant tube burners are typically applied in coil annealing and galvanizing lines, quenching furnaces, salt bath furnaces, bell and pit furnaces, food cooking ovens, heat treatment lines, and processes involving metals, glass, ceramics, and synthetic materials. They are engineered to operate with natural gas, LPG, or poor chalories gas, offering thermal capacities ranging from 30 to 300 kW. Preheated combustion air up to 600 °C can be used, enabling energy savings up to 30% when combined with recuperative systems.
A key technical feature of the RT‑NxT series is its staged air‑mixing system. Primary air is mixed through a crossflow head that generates a twisted flame, while secondary air is introduced via openings in the flame arrester pipe to complete combustion and extend the flame. This design reduces thermal stress on the radiant tube inlet, soot formation and increases heat exchange efficiency, and extends tube lifespan.
The burners include separated gas and air inlets to prevent backfire, operate at low noise levels, and allow simplified calibration through integrated pressure taps. Ignition is achieved via high‑voltage electrodes, with flame detection possible through electrodes or optional UV photocells. Certified burner control systems are strongly recommended, especially for applications below 750 °C.
