AGO-NxT - LOW NOx Air-Oxygen-fuel burner

The AGO-NxT series identifies a family of long flame side burners that use air or oxygen as comburent. Depending on the size and conditions of use, the AGO-NxT burners guarantee a substantial reduction in polluting emissions (CO & NOx) and lower consumption compared to traditional burners, while simultaneously offering considerable advantages in terms of flexibility of the heating process.


Description

The AGO‑NxT burner is a high‑efficiency side‑firing air oxy fuel industrial burner designed for long‑flame heating processes requiring high stability, wide modulation and extremely low emissions. It operates with air, natural gas and oxygen, offering three modes: air‑fuel, oxygen‑fuel and mixed operation, enabling full process flexibility.

The range covers 700–4400 kW, producing flame lengths between 2200 and 7200 mm, ideal for melting and heating furnaces requiring long, stable heat transfer. Standard inlet pressures are 50 mbar for air and gas, and 200 mbar for oxygen.

Its advanced multi‑stage combustion system combined with strong internal flue‑gas recirculation ensures very low NOx and CO emissions. The burner can run in traditional FLAME mode or in FLAMELESS mode, achieving ultra‑low‑emission performance while maintaining excellent stability even at low chamber temperatures during cold starts.

Construction materials include carbon steel, high‑temperature refractory (up to 1750 °C), cast‑iron manifolds and stainless steels AISI 304/316/310S, enabling durability and long service life even in demanding operating environments.

Ignition is provided by a PBC‑FR/X pilot burner with UV flame detection, ensuring reliable ignition and stable flame supervision. Separate air, gas and oxygen inlets with nozzle mixing eliminate backfire risk and stabilize the combustion front.

Thanks to its optimised air/fuel ratio control and the ability to use oxygen with purity above 90%, the AGO‑NxT achieves high thermal efficiency, reducing fuel consumption while improving furnace throughput and temperature uniformity.
