EVO & VM-R/OT - Pilot solenoid gas valve

The EVO & VM-R/OT type solenoid valves are single-stage electromagnetic safety valves, with quick opening and closing, normally closed, in accordance with the UNI EN 161 standard.


Description

The EVO and VM‑R/OT series are Class A pilot gas solenoid valve designed for rapid, reliable control of gas flow in combustion systems. Both families are built with brass valve bodies, fast‑acting solenoid mechanisms, and compact dimensions that allow versatile installation. The EVO valves are available in 3/8″, 1/2″, and 3/4″ connection sizes, while VM‑R/OT models cover 3/8″ and 1/2″.

The EVO series uses a mobile core in AISI 430F, delivers a maximum flow of 4.5 Nm³/h of methane at ΔP = 10 mbar, and operates up to 200 mbar. They support a wide electric supply range: 12/24/110/230 Vac (±10–15%, 50/60 Hz). VM‑R/OT valves feature a mobile core in AISI 416 and a spring in AISI 302, with a maximum flow of 4 Nm³/h, maintaining the same pressure limits. Their power absorption is 12 VA, compared to 8 VA for EVO units.

Both product lines provide rapid opening and closing (<1 s) without built‑in flow regulators. They operate within −15°C to +60°C (EVO) and −10°C to +60°C (VM‑R/OT) and include PG9 electrical connectors. Degrees of protection are IP65 for EVO and IP54 for VM‑R/OT.

Certified according to EN161, the EVO models comply with multiple European directives, including the Gas Directive 90/396/EEC, ATEX 94/9/EC, EMC 89/336/EEC, and Low Voltage 73/23/EEC. VM‑R/OT valves are GASTEC‑certified (CE‑0063AQ1350).
