PF & PFP & PFF & PSP - Coupled flanges

The PFP and PSP series mating flanges have been created to fit standard pipe sizes between DN10 and DN150, and ensure a tight fit even with frequent disassembly/reassembly.

Description

The PF, PFP, PFF, and PSP coupled flange series are designed by ESA‑PYRONICS to provide reliable, safe, and easily maintainable connection solutions for industrial combustion and gas handling systems. These flanges allow for secure coupling of pipelines and auxiliary equipment, supporting both installations and frequent disassembly without compromising sealing integrity. They are engineered to fit standard pipe sizes from DN10 to DN150, covering a wide variety of industrial applications.

Each flange includes a Rp 1/8” threaded hole (UNI EN 10226), enabling the installation of a pressure tap for fast and simple pressure monitoring. This feature supports efficient maintenance and helps avoid modifications to existing pipelines. The flanges are available either individually or as coupled pairs, and the coupled versions are supplied with corresponding gaskets and pressure taps for rapid installation.

The PFP series consists of threaded flanges available from Rp 3/8” to Rp 2”, while the PSP series offers welding flanges ranging from DN65 to DN150. The maximum operating limits for all variants are 400 mbar pressure and 400°C temperature, making them suitable for heavy‑duty industrial environments. Materials include G25 cast iron for threaded flanges, Fe 360 steel for welding flanges, and AFM‑34/Xtreme Plus for gaskets, ensuring durability and sealing reliability.

Installation procedures differ slightly for welded and threaded models but emphasize correct pipe alignment, removal of impurities, crisscross bolt tightening, and final leak testing using appropriate detection products. The maintenance plan recommends annual inspection of gasket integrity and bolt tightening, with more frequent checks in vibrating environments. Flanges must always be installed below their maximum rated temperature and pressure.

All products comply with ISO13577 (UNI EN 746‑2:2010,) Machine Directive 2006/42/CE, and are produced under UNI EN ISO 9001 certified quality management.
