Description

The Zero Governor is a pressure regulator for pilot burners designed to maintain the outlet gas pressure close to zero, ensuring stable fuel supply even when the inlet pressure fluctuates. It is intended for use on pilot burners and applications with low fuel flow rates.

The regulator features a die‑cast aluminum body that is both robust and lightweight, while the internal components are selected to provide high resistance to corrosion. Its core functional element is a balanced valve with a double diaphragm, enabling precise and consistent regulation. The main diaphragm is made from VITON‑impregnated fabrics, ensuring flexibility, durability, and long‑term sealing performance even under demanding conditions.

The maximum operating pressure is 70 mbar, while the outlet pressure remains between –2.5 and +3.8 mbar, with an accuracy of ±0.5 mbar. The operating temperature range extends from –40°C to +90°C, allowing the regulator to be used in systems exposed to harsh environmental conditions. An integrated counter‑spring enables the device to function as a true zero governor, keeping the outlet pressure consistently stabilized around zero.

The product is designed for vertical installation, a necessary condition for the correct operation of the diaphragm system. Multiple models are available, including the R500 SZ and R400 SZ, each with different overall dimensions and connection sizes of 1/2″, 3/8″, and 1/8″ for piping and measurement points. Performance in terms of methane gas flow is illustrated through a chart showing the regulator’s behavior relative to differential pressure.

The device is intended for integration into combustion systems that require safety, stability, and precision in gas regulation.
