CAL/CGL/NOF/CCL
Setting the standard in combustion technologies for CAL/CGL NOF/CCL
Hot-dip galvanizing is the process aimed at protecting steel sheet (coil) from corrosion, thereby increasing its durability. It involves immersing the preheated sheet in a bath of molten zinc to create a stable coating. On an industrial scale, this takes place in fully automated production lines where the sheet moves at high speed and undergoes specific heating and cooling cycles to ensure proper adhesion of the zinc
ESA has developed dedicated burners and complete combustion solutions for both vertical and horizontal galvanizing lines, covering all stages of sheet metal processing. This starts with the non-oxidizing section, where minimizing oxidation is crucial, followed by indirect heating phases using radiant tubes before immersion in molten zinc, as well as final applications such as painting in color coating lines.

Radiant tube burners "RT Nxt" Low Nox
Burners for U- and W-profiles radiant tubes. The burner nozzle design ensures the absence of soot and unburned residues, preventing radiant tube breakage. At the same time, staged combustion generates low NOx levels even with high temp. preheated air from the recuperator.

"Plug in Recuperator" ("PIR") for "RT Nxt" burners
The worldwide patented "PIR" consists of a plug-in heat recovery unit for radiant tubes, made of steel or silicon carbide, which is coupled to the "RT Nxt" burner, both to supply it with hot air and to easily recirculate the flue gases ("flow gas recirculation") for further NOx reduction.
If necessary, it can be equipped with a pneumatic control valve to control CO during ignition.

"NM" burners for "Non Oxidizing Furnaces"
In the non-oxidizing section of the galvanizing lines (NOF), the coil is heated under reducing conditions to remove oxides and impurities and prevent oxidation during heating. The burner developed for this purpose is the "NM Nxt," in which the combustion air is at the center while the gas surrounds and protects the flame on the outside, protecting the sheet metal from oxygen.

"Combustion doors" with premixed "RAD" burners
One of ESA's exclusive technologies, which uses special premix burners, allows for precise control of the oxygen concentration (and thus the oxidation of the coil) before the coating process.

Self recuperative burners "REKO SIK Nxt"
Self recuperative burners for "P" and "double P" radiant tubes with SIC combustion head.
Burner model "best seller" on the market, leader in efficiency and low emissions. Possibility of flameless.

Packaged burners "EPB" for CCL
Monoblock high velocity burners customizable for "colour coating lines"

fuel feeding skids for PHF/RTF; HNX mixing stations
With the aim of providing complete solutions, ESA offers various engineered systems equipped with automation to supply the preheating sections, radiant tube furnaces, as well as Hydrogen/Nitrogen premix stations

"Serio" servomotors with three fixed positions
The ability to freely set the minimum and maximum positions—either manually or via the dedicated 'PROG I' remote control—on our 'SERIO TPF' servomotor allows for flexibility and precision in managing both the burner and the radiant tube
STRONG POINT
Individual and indipendent burners' regulation and "(Off)/Min/Max" management.
Our philosophy includes:
- That each burner (or coupled burner + heat exchanger ) is equipped with its own regulation and control instrumentation, making it independent from the zone.
- That the control system operates in min/max mode instead of off/max, in order to increase the efficiency and lifespan of the radiant tubes.
