Our history
ESA was founded and developed in the late 1970s in the province of Bergamo, close to MIlano in Northern Italy, historically one of the most vibrant manufacturing hubs in Europe, with the aim of supporting the development of natural gas in Italy. From the very beginning, it became a key reference point for numerous furnace manufacturers and end customers across a wide range of industries.
1977
- Incorporated as spin-off of combustion department of today’s Parent company SIADMI.
- It becomes immediately distributor of Pyronics Inc. Cleveland, Ohio.
The ’80s
- ESA moves to its current headquarters in Curno, near Bergamo.
- The development of know-how in the steel and ceramic markets continues.
- It begins the development of its own combustion electronics products.
The ’90s
- ISO 9001 Qualification.
- The first worldwide success: the invention of the electronic flame control “ ESTRO”.
- Cooperation with huge Steel and Aluminium OEM pushes to internalize the refractory department.
The ’00s
- Acquisition of Pyronics International S.A., in Belgium,
- Inauguration of biggest European R&D Center on combustion
- Internalization of software & automation dep.
- Other acquisitions relates to the I.P for copper pre-mix burners and ribbon linear burners.
The ’10s
- In 2014, ESA Manufacturing Pvt Ltd India is incorporated in Pune, as a manufacturing unit.
- Obtains ISO9001 certification, PED certification and ASME qualified Weders
- in 2018 moves to its 2500sqm current location.
The ’20s
- New patents for self-recuperative burners and “Plug in recuperators” (PIR).
- ESA Italy takes over other neighboring factories and offices for a total of 7,000 m2 covered and 1,000 m2 of offices.
- ESA Germany and ESA China are born.
- Patent for double solenoid valves “ISEO”
- ISO 14000 certification
