Post combustion
"Green" technologies
Combustion technologies enhancing air quality
Post-combustion is a purification system that uses an exothermic reaction to destroy toxic substances in the air, odors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
The process takes place in a combustion chamber, where the effluents are transformed into harmless substances such as carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water vapor (H₂O).
Depending on the concentration and hazardousness of the pollutants to be treated, as well as the thermal efficiency, different types of systems are used. However, they all rely on the same oxidation principle:
- Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO)
- Direct Fired Thermal Oxidizers
- Recuperative Thermal Oxidizer

Short flame nozzle mix burners
The "NM" burner is typically used in this sector.
Its refractory head ensures resistance to aggressive substances. The flame is short, making it suitable for the compact dimensions of post-combustors, also when more power is required, thanks to its multi-nozzle configuration.

High velocity multitunnel burners
In specific applications, high-velocity cold-air burners "EMB" or low NOx recuperated hot air "EMB Nxt" can also be used, individually or in multi-nozzle configuration for higher power and same flame length.

Stand-alone burner-post combustor hybrids
Where conditions allow, long-flame burners of the "ENM Nxt" type can be customized to form a standalone, compact and integrated unit, burning flue gases, enabling efficient abatement of hazardous compounds.
STRENGTH POINT
Modular solutions that combine the effectiveness of customization with your budget.
Tailor-made sizing of the solution based on the geometry of the post-combustor is the best guarantee of both savings and performance.
